I am no longer at Stone Accents Studio (SAS). To make a very long and dramatic story a short one, it was time for a new adventure!!! I miss the friends that I made while managing the CT there, but we keep in touch by email. I also miss those of you who participated in the Heritage Challenge on a regular basis. When I’ve had time to study some forums, I will try to find a new home for that. In the mean while, without the responsibilities I once had, I have been enjoying the down time and creating some freebies to share. You can find them at Waite For The Moment Designs. I’m excited to finally have the time to play with all of the CU things I’ve been gathering for almost 2 years. 🙂 I also hope that you will enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed making them. This is the latest one:
Who would have thought that Ryley would take so quickly to Grandma Monnie? He is not usually one to quickly befriend anyone and Grandma Monnie normally is very quiet here. For some reason, he took to her right off and it was so cute to see them compare their shoes. “You have Sketchers? Oh, I have Sketchers too Grandma!” Grandma has Alzheimer’s and is sometimes very hard to entertain. She wants to visit and yet she is ready to go “home” as soon as she gets here. This little angel helped her pass the time until Christmas dinner and as soon as dinner was over, they were off to check out some neat new toys!
I used Home and Hearth, the December Mega Kit over at SAS, to create this LO.
Rocky appears to have settled right into the package I was filling for Tom.
I don’t think he would care much for Alaska, so we kept him home 😉
AND my friend Diana over at Amberpony Creates has given me this special Award:
I’ll be back soon to share this with some of my other friends.
Hugs to all,
Saturday was the Christmas Parade here in our little town. Russell had planned to put the old Chevy truck in the parade so that all 3 of the grands could ride with him and throw candy. When he went to get it out of the storage garage, his buddy had parked behind him and had a dead battery. Ryley was not thrilled about WATCHING the parade, he wanted to throw candy. Too bad I didn’t have the camera when he realized he could catch candy mmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm!! Just before time for the parade to start, it started snowing a fine, wet snow. It was a nice touch for the parade, but with the cold temperatures we already had, the kids nearly froze!! Everyone had a good time though. Pappy is living proof LOL!!

Mrs. Pryor’s pre-school class had their photo in the local newspaper last week. I couldn’t wait to come home and make a scrapbook page so that he would have that memory for later in his life. He loves school and all his classmates.
I used SKrapper Digitals Thankful Kit to create this LO.
I can’t believe that it has been 2 months and then some since I’ve posted on this blog. Perhaps that is why it took forever to make one and I apologize for being so slack. We’ve had lots going on with the family. Below are a few scrap LO’s I’ve done to remember them.

Tom has been in Alaska since 21 Sept. and he loves it there, or so he says! In Oct. the cute fuzzy polar bear swam to the shore and fell asleep. Tom got this shot from 25 to 30 yards away. (Kit is Urban Rain Mini by digiMom Designs)

On Saturday we will be celebrating my parents’ Golden Wedding anniversary. First let me say that is doesn’t seem possible for that many years to have come and gone! This is quite an occasion for Mom & Dad and we are so happy to be able to do this for them. Over the years, they have been blessed with 3 of us brats ;), 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. We’ll be meeting at the Church of Christ multi-purpose building from Noon until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday the 23rd of August. If you can find the time to stop by for a few minutes, Chuck & Bonnie would love for you to share in their special day. They have asked that we stress “NO GIFTS”. I’ll be posting photos and making a scrapbook so that they can share their day with those who can’t make it. Hope to see you all there!
Hugs to all,
