Changes and New Adventures

I am no longer at Stone Accents Studio (SAS). To make a very long and dramatic story a short one, it was time for a new adventure!!! I miss the friends that I made while managing the CT there, but we keep in touch by email. I also miss those of you who participated in the Heritage Challenge on a regular basis. When I’ve had time to study some forums, I will try to find a new home for that. In the mean while, without the responsibilities I once had, I have been enjoying the down time and creating some freebies to share. You can find them at Waite For The Moment Designs. I’m excited to finally have the time to play with all of the CU things I’ve been gathering for almost 2 years. I also hope that you will enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed making them. Sketchers…

Who would have thought that Ryley would take so quickly to Grandma Monnie?  He is not usually one to quickly befriend anyone and Grandma Monnie normally is very quiet here.  For some reason, he took to her right off and it was so cute to see them compare their shoes.  “You have Sketchers?  Oh, I have Sketchers too Grandma!”    Grandma has Alzheimer’s and is sometimes very hard to entertain.  She wants to visit and yet she is ready to go “home” as soon as she gets here.  This little angel helped her pass the time until Christmas dinner and as soon as dinner was over, they were off to check out some neat new toys!

Thankful Pilgrims

Mrs. Pryor’s pre-school class had their photo in the local newspaper last week.  I couldn’t wait to come home and make a scrapbook page so that he would have that memory for later in his life.  He loves school and all his classmates.

Time

I can’t believe that it has been 2 months since I have posted to this blog!  So much going on and still I haven’t put anything new here. 

We had the genealogy fair on the 12th of this month and it went very well.  There will be another one next year, only a little earlier in the year in order to avoid some of the heat.  Everyone had a wonderful time visiting, sharing their family information and asking questions about getting started on their family stories and trees.

Next month is my parents 50th Anniversary.  What a wonderful milestone and we will celebrate with an open house.  It will be the 23rd of August and I’ll post the invitation here later this evening.  Hope we will see you there, and please NO gifts
